Weather Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the SF Weather application ("App," "we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the application.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information.
The App requests access to your device location solely to provide its core functionality: displaying local weather and forecasts. Location data is processed locally on your device in real time for weather retrieval purposes only.
The App requests access to your notifications, this allows the application to push the temperature to the main status bar on the top left of android devices and also pushes the temperature to your notifications bar.
We do not collect:
- Personal identifiers
- Location history
- Usage analytics
- Device identifiers
- Any location data beyond what is needed to fetch your current weather
The App uses the android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permission only while you are actively using the App.
Location access is used exclusively to:
- Determine your current location to retrieve local weather and forecast data.
- Store or record your location history
- Send your location data to external servers beyond what is required to fetch weather data
- Use location data in the background
- Use location data for advertising, tracking, or profiling
- Location access stops when the App is no longer in active use.
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data because the App does not collect or store user data.
4. Data Storage
No personal or location-related data is stored locally or remotely by the App.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
6. Security
Because the App does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no user data stored on external servers by us.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date above.
